BOB BEAUCHAMP,
CEO, BMC SOFTWARE
Many traditional business models (including
universities, not for profit and for profit
organizations) are at risk of becoming irrelevant.
Ubiquitous connectivity and information access driven
by technology evolution is leveling the playing
field. India, China and other developing economies are
having a profound impact on both our value-chain models
and intellectual capital creation. Computing advances
in the next 10 years will be more disruptive than those
we have experienced in the last 50 years.
Mr. Beauchamp will provide his observations regarding
the global economy and competitive threats facing every
organization today based on his insights from leading
one of the world's largest independent software
companies.
About Mr. Bob Beauchamp
Mr. Beauchamp has served as president and chief
executive officer of BMC Software, Inc. since January
2001. In his many years with the company, he has held
numerous senior management positions across the
organization.
He currently serves on the board of directors of
National Oilwell, Inc., the Memorial Hermann Hospital
System, and the Texas Medical Center. Additionally, he
serves on the New York Stock Exchange Listed Company
Advisory Board. He is an active member in the greater
Houston community and serves on the boards of civic
organizations such as the Greater Houston Partnership;
the Center for Houston's Future; and served as Chairman
of the Houston CEO Diversity Roundtable from 2001-2006.
He is an advisor to the Houston Technology Center and
the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce for Greater
Houston. Mr. Beauchamp received a Bachelor's Degree in
Business Administration, Finance from the University of
Texas at Austin and a Master's of Science in Management
from Houston Baptist University. In October 2001, Mr.
Beauchamp was recognized by Houston Baptist University
